Shivon N. Merrero, 30, Ty-Shay S. Madden, 22, and a 16-year-old, all of Brooklyn, were arrested around 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, by Town of Poughkeepsie Police, said Capt. Michael O’Dowd.

The three were arrested after officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress at Rite Aid located at 3350 North Road, said O'Dowd.

Upon arriving in the area, officers found the suspects had fled the scene in a gray 2006 Mercury Marquis.

After a short time, officers located and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Columbus Drive and the Westbound Arterial and all three were taken into custody.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police assisted at the scene.

Marrero and Madden were charged with grand larceny and released on appearance tickets.

The juvenile was taken into custody for a juvenile delinquent warrant out of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He was remanded to a secure facility.
